Maureen Ryan

Maureen Ryan is a Partner in the firm’s Healthcare and Academic Services Practice as well as its Board and CEO Practices. She is based in the Washington, DC office. As a former international health system executive and experienced talent consultant, she works with voluntary boards and executive leadership teams to create talent strategies that align with their organization’s business plans.

Prior to joining Odgers Berndtson, Maureen worked for another global executive search firm recruiting executives to leadership roles in healthcare, higher education, and nonprofit organizations. She also developed partnerships with clients to optimize their Board diversity and governance best practices.

Earlier in her career, Maureen was a hospital administrator who created patient experience and advocacy programs in organizations that included Johns Hopkins Health System, MedStar Health, and Hallmark Health. She also led physician recruitment, retention, and practice acquisitions.

Maureen holds a BA in Spanish from Ohio Wesleyan University and studied law at Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University of America. She is a Board member of the Leapfrog Group.
