Jacob Præst

Jacob focuses on executive search within renewable energy and professional services, and is a part of the global Renewable & Cleantech Practice. He has more than 15 years of experience in the Danish and European energy and utility sector having worked 10 years in Ørsted in Denmark, Belgium and in the Netherlands. In his last position he was Head of Strategy and Business Development in Ørsted’s Dutch energy company.

Jacob later succeeded as one of the few in going from the industry to management consulting. He has worked 6 years in two of the world leading management consulting firms Monitor Deloitte and Accenture Consulting.

As a very experienced and passionate strategy consultant Jacob takes great pleasure in helping companies to succeed in disruptive markets. He believes successful strategy implementation is much dependent on having the right capabilities in the organization and being able to attract and retain talents.

Jacob holds a M.Sc. in International Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School and Oxford Brookes University.

Jacob is Partner in Odgers Berndtson at our Copenhagen office and joined our team in 2021 coming from another major global executive search firm.
