The 14th edition of Odgers Berndtson’s magazine is coming soon.
The roots of wellness are ancient, but its corporate history is much more recent. The ideas and practices of wellness in the workplace have exploded globally, alongside a flurry of digital technology.
But does ‘well working’, as we’ve called it in this special issue, merit all the attention it’s getting? That’s what we’re asking in the coming edition of OBSERVE magazine.
We’ll take you beyond the hype and headlines to ask if well working is merely a sticking plaster on badly-managed businesses desperate to adapt to relentless change? Or is it an opportunity for a genuine competitive edge in a world where the line between life and work is increasingly blurred?
Buildings, disease, and happiness
Amongst other things, we’re looking at buildings built for happiness, the macro forces of ill health threatening global workforces, stress and personal resilience, and the hard facts behind the mindfulness craze.
There’s an examination of the ups and downs of independent working, as well as the best apps to aid well working, plus a fascinating examination of how your brain works at work. And we name the happiest nations on earth.
We hope you’ll be happy with our questions and conclusions, expert comment and thoughtful analysis, and find some useful advice and tips along the way in OBSERVE 14.
