An Interactive Workshop for Potential Board Candidates
Odgers Berndtson's Calgary team and board practice specialists, Elaine Roper and Tony Gaffney recently co-hosted a workshop in partnership with Women on Boards and McCarthy Tetrault.
The workshop, which attracted almost 100 female executives and high potential leaders, shared best practices on how to best position themselves as competitive board candidates in today’s market. As both seasoned board directors and leadership advisors to Canadian public and private boards, Elaine and Tony provided strategies and gave examples of how organizations are currently developing D&I targets. They also shared case studies of what top organizations are doing to create more effective boards.
Andrea Goertz, Co-Founder of Women on Boards, kicked off the event, followed by introductions from Jennifer Ward, Partner at Odgers Berndtson and Kerri Howard, Partner at McCarthy Tetrault. The workshop was hosted at the McCarthy Tetrault office in downtown Calgary.
