Sean Garvey

Sean is a Partner at Odgers Berndtson and leads the Technology Sector and the CIO Officers Practice for Australia & New Zealand

He leads the execution of assignments at the executive leadership for high-growth tech companies undergoing founder transition and C-Suite appointments for ASX-listed and Global Multinationals. Within the domain of technology, Sean delivers on Chief Information, Chief Digital & Chief Technology Officer mandates in various settings, be they Private Equity backed or large corporate.

Sean has over 20 Years of experience in executive search. During this time, he worked for the largest multinational firms and set up his boutique, which specialised in the technology and telco sectors, before being bought by another firm. His early career was in Key Account Management, working for global brands such as Gossard, Jockey and Lyle & Scott. As an accomplished sportsman, Sean has played representative rugby union.

Sean spent his childhood years in Jamaica, where he was born and Pakistan, where he attended school, before moving to the UK and eventually emigrating to Australia in 1999. He holds a BA (Hons) in Human Physiology from Birmingham University.
