Vladimir Makatsaria is Company Group Chairman of Johnson & Johnson Global Surgery Group in Asia Pacific.
Prior to this appointment, Vladimir served as Global Integration Leader for Johnson & Johnson’s Global Surgery Group. In this position, Vladimir was responsible for the integration of three new Medical Device & Diagnostics Groups (Global Surgery, Global Medical Solutions and Global Orthopaedics) into a new global structure.
Vladimir is an accomplished global leader with experience directing sales and marketing organizations, as well as general management and strategic planning across developed and emerging markets.
He began his career with Johnson & Johnson as a cardiovascular sales representative in Russia in 1996. Thereafter, he went on to hold several sales and marketing positions of increasing responsibility, including Managing Director of Johnson & Johnson Russia, Area Director in Eastern Europe, Vice President of Strategic Affairs for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and President in EMEA.
Vladimir holds a bachelor’s degree in Physiology and master’s degrees in Healthcare Administration and Business Administration from the University of Minnesota.
