Sachin N. Shah

Sachin N. Shah is Chief Executive Officer for Asia Pacific General Insurance based in Singapore since January 2019.
Shah spent two decades in senior management roles with MetLife, most recently serving as Chairman, President and CEO of MetLife Japan since 2013. Prior to MetLife, Shah was a vice president of product development and marketing in the Global Institutional Services business of Bankers Trust. He also worked for National Discount Brokers an online brokerage start-up, and Pershing a division of Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette Securities Corporation. Previously, he held engineering positions at Schindler Elevator Corporation and Allied Signal.
Shah is married with a daughter and two sons, and is an avid fan of baseball and soccer. He received a BS degree in electrical engineering and a master’s degree in technology and business management from Stevens Institute of Technology in New Jersey, USA.
Shah is president-emeritus of the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan, and serves on the Advisory Board of Stevens Institute of Technology’s Business School.
