Ai Hua Ong is Company Group Chairman for Janssen Asia Pacific, where she is responsible for the company’s operations across the strategically important markets of: Japan, China, Australia, New Zealand, India, Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong.

Ai Hua began her career in 1991 as a product specialist with Johnson & Johnson Medical Singapore and has since held a number of leadership roles across strategic marketing, sales management, and licensing and acquisition. In January 2015, Ai Hua became President of One J&J Southeast Asia, leading the implementation of J&J’s first one-company business model encompassing pharmaceuticals, consumer products and medical devices across 10 countries.

Ai Hua holds a degree in Microbiology and Biochemistry and an MBA from the National University of Singapore. She is an active volunteer for charitable causes and is chair of J&J’s Asia Pacific Contributions Committee. She works with Singapore Dover Park Hospice and Beyond Social Services, an organisation which supports children from disadvantaged families in Singapore.

She previously held dual leadership roles as Vice President, Medical Devices & Diagnostics, South Asia, and Vice President, Ethicon Surgical Care, Asia Pacific.

Ai Hua’s previous roles also include Managing Director, Johnson & Johnson Medical Singapore; Group General Manager, Surgical Group, Johnson & Johnson Medical China; and Vice President, Strategic Marketing & Business Development, Johnson & Johnson Medical Asia Pacific.
