Elaine brings over 40 years of international experience as a CHRO, consultant, and board director in the financial services, technology, and not-for-profit and public sectors, in addition to public/private partnership organisations throughout North America, Europe, and Asia.
Over the past two decades, Elaine has served on numerous high-profile non-profit boards. Her experience includes serving as Vice-Chair of the Royal Ontario Museum and Board Chair of the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario. In addition to these roles, Elaine has chaired the Governance and/or Human Resources Committees of these boards and of other organisations as a board director. These include the Canada Games Council, Niagara 2022 Canada Summer Games Host Society, the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada, the Textile Museum of Canada, and Bishop’s University. Her contributions to these boards have been significant, leading board recruitment, assessment, and evaluation exercises across all these institutions.
Elaine holds a bachelor’s degree in German and Business Administration from Bishop’s University. She has completed the Rotman Directors Education programme and is accredited through the Institute of Corporate Directors. She is a frequent speaker and advisor on matters of board governance. She is fluent in English and French and is based in Toronto.
