Toby Gardner has been appointed to APAC Regional Practice Head for Financial Services

Toby will be responsible for providing client coverage and working with our local and global team to deliver exceptional executive search outcomes across the region.

For the past two and a half years, Toby has been a Partner in Odgers Berndtson’s Sydney office where he has led he Financial Services Practice across Australia and New Zealand. His focus is on Board level executive appointments and senior leadership roles across banking and capital markets, insurance, wealth and asset management markets.  

Prior to joining Odgers Berndtson, Toby worked for a Big Four global consulting firm for 20 years specialising in serving financial services clients in the UK, Europe, APAC and most recently managing clients globally. His relationships and expertise traverse a broad range of functional areas within financial services and he has a depth of knowledge and understanding of both the regulatory and economic drivers shaping future skills requirements.

Toby has a BA (Hons) degree from the University of Nottingham, has lived in multiple locations globally, with Sydney now firmly his home.
