Sarah Shaw joined Odgers Interim in 2008 as a Consultant and was promoted to Partner in 2012. She runs the Education Practice for Odgers Interim.
She is based out of the Birmingham office but has a national portfolio. Sarah looks after appointments in Higher Education/Business Schools and Independent/fee-paying schools. Sarah is also a key member of the team working in Further Education, Employment Support and the non-fee paying Secondary Schools sector (Grammar, State, Academies/New Schools). Sarah has 18 years’ recruitment experience across a variety of sectors, both public and commercial.
She joined Odgers Interim from a generalist interim management provider where for two and a half years she was a principal, handling assignments in the West Midlands and supporting specialist sector heads. Her remit encompassed the charity, not-for-profit and commercial sectors as well as central and local government. Between 1998 and 2004 Sarah ran her own interim management and niche recruitment business in Surrey. She specialised in the private sector, assisting start-ups and entrepreneurial initiatives. Sarah is no stranger to the challenges facing interim executives as she has worked as an interim manager herself in different marketing agencies.
Sarah is a graduate of Reading University and began her career in market research and FMCG marketing. At one stage she was responsible for creating drinks’ brands and she brings that flair for innovation to her work at Odgers Interim. Sarah is the Institute of Interim Management’s Interim Consultant of the Year 2017.
