Ryna Young is Partner and Head of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Practice at Odgers Berndtson. In her role as Head of DEI, Ryna oversees the development and integration of the firm’s DEI expertise through its executive search, onboarding, coaching, leadership development, and cultural transformation services. In addition to her work with clients, Ryna also leads internal DEI initiatives which include the firm’s Ally Network and colleague training.
Ryna is a seasoned practitioner with a track record of nearly 25 years in executive search and interim executive search, coaching, and DEI strategy. She has successfully placed and continues to lead searches for board members and other senior leaders within several functions, including operations, human resources, IT, sales, finance, and accounting across the public and private sectors. She is known for her ability to build strong relationships and become a trusted advisor, which has allowed her continued success.
Ryna is a member of the AESC North American Diversity Leadership Council and holds a degree in psychology from the University of Windsor. She is also an active volunteer in her community, serving at Foodbank Oakville, Kerr Street Mission, and Scott Mission.
