Odgers Berndtson Announces the 2023 CEOx1Day Finalists: Connecting Future Leaders with CEO Mentors
Odgers Berndtson, Canada’s premier integrated leadership advisory firm, is pleased to announce the winners of the 2023 CEOx1Day program.
Aimed at celebrating and recognizing Canada’s most talented third and fourth-year post-secondary students, CEOx1Day provides promising future leaders with the opportunity to spend a mentorship day with one of Canada’s top CEOs. The 32 deserving winners, spanning the country coast to coast, underwent a rigorous application process and were selected for their positive community contributions, growing leadership capabilities, and academic excellence.
Exclusive to Odgers Berndtson, the CEOx1Day program provides leadership development, career insights, and executive networking opportunities to Canada’s aspiring leaders. The program runs in over 10 countries worldwide.
“The 2023 winners successfully navigated their undergraduate studies during the disruption of the pandemic, at an age where many are faced with independence for the first time. These young adults have inspired us and highlighted what the next generation of talent can achieve,” said Carl Lovas, Chief Executive Officer, Odgers Berndtson Canada. “The leaders of tomorrow are committed to making a positive impact in their communities and taking meaningful action to face global, environmental, and social challenges. We’re proud to play a part in the professional development of this class of CEOx1Day winners.”
In addition to learning directly from the executives steering some of Canada’s leading organizations, the CEOx1Day winners will attend Career Development Days in Odgers Berndtson offices across the country. Designed to jump-start their careers, these events will provide the students with insights into their unique leadership style, candid discussions on talent management, and tips to stand out in a competitive recruitment process.
Congratulations to our winners!

“Year-after-year, participating executive mentors share their appreciation for gaining fresh perspectives from their mentee, while the mentee gains valuable insight into the CEO’s career trajectory, leadership style, and organizational values. These are met with strong interest by ambitious individuals aspiring one day to be in the CEO seat,” said Brad Beveridge, President, Odgers Berndtson Canada. “We invest in developing great leaders diverse in experience, background, leadership style, industry, and sector, to help build a better future for our country and our communities.”
