Odgers Berndtson is proud to have founded the CEOx1Day Future Leaders Summit, a two-stage selection process designed to uncover and develop Canada’s future leaders.
The program gives finalists the opportunity to shadow a top Canadian CEO for a full day in major cities across the country. Open to third and fourth-year students enrolled in a Canadian university or a degree-granting college program, students gain an invaluable mentorship experience and learn what it takes to be a successful leader. CEOs and their companies also benefit from the program as they have the opportunity to connect with and better understand what drives the next generation of future leaders.
With more than 250 partners in 58 offices around the globe, Odgers Berndtson is deeply committed to providing an integrated approach to talent management. An integrated leadership advisory firm with an emphasis on industry and functional specialization, Odgers Berndtson focuses on recruiting, assessing and developing senior executives and board members who work across Canada and internationally in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. The firm also offers executive interim and leadership assessment services to help clients build world-class leadership teams.
More specifically, Odgers Berndtson’s Leadership Practice helps executives and their teams improve performance. The firm’s unique assessment method, LeaderFit™, addresses critical business issues through leadership assessment and development, personal coaching and succession planning. The leadership practice also plays a key role in the CEOx1Day program, as students take part in an online leadership assessment in the second phase of the selection process. The assessment is designed to help them uncover their key leadership strengths and potential and is uncovering the evolving and changing leadership patterns within this future generation.
Odgers Berndtson has also become an industry leader in matching highly qualified executives in short-term assignments. Odgers Interim, which was launched in Canada in 2010, provides companies with access to an outstanding pool of 5000+ pre-selected and vetted interim executives. Odgers Interim was established to give companies on-demand executives that will solve their business needs immediately and give them a competitive advantage, as well as meeting the needs of today’s growing gig economy.
In addition to founding the CEOx1Day program, Odgers Berndtson has also partnered with the Rotman School of Management to create the Business Leadership for Finance Executives Program, which is designed to help nurture the strategic and leadership skills that are required of today’s chief financial officers and senior finance executives. By focusing on the three pillars of CFO Leadership, Leadership in the C-Suite, Strategic Agility & Business Acumen, and Managing Key Stakeholder Relations, the program allows participants to assess and develop these strengths while learning about the newest developments in business management from the country’s leading CEOs and CFOs.
