Follow these 3 steps and you could be a CEOx1Day.

All penultimate and final year students enrolled in a Sydney or Melbourne University are eligible to apply for the CEOx1Day program.
The three steps of the selection process:
Step 1: Applying for CEOx1Day
Eligible* students must complete and submit an online application, which will be reviewed by Odgers Berndtson’s team of executive search experts. Applications will include background information, a CV with any relevant work or extra-curricular experience, a most recent academic transcript and two questions on leadership.
Evaluation: Applications will be evaluated on the breadth of relevant work, volunteer or extra-curricular experience, and the quality of their written answers.
Deadline: June 14th 2019
Time Commitment: approx. 1 hour

Step 2: Online Leadership Assessment
Students having successfully completed stage 1 will be asked to take an online LeaderFit assessment that profiles their skills, competencies and leadership potential.
Evaluation: LeaderFit defines the critical competencies for performance and potential (i.e stretch or agility) required to be successful in today’s demanding executive roles. The model describes the perspectives and capabilities of world-class leaders who are equipped to thrive and lead organisations with great success through disruptive times.
Timing for Phase 2: June 2019
Time Commitment: 30 minutes
Step 3: Interview Day
Semi-finalists will be invited to an interview session at Odgers Berndtson’s offices in Sydney or Melbourne, mirroring a real-life search process. This includes a one-on-one interview and the opportunity to network with Odgers Berndtson’s team of executive search experts. The students selected for this step will also receive feedback on the assessments completed in Step 2.
Evaluation Criteria for Step 3: Semi-finalists will be assessed on their ability to think on their feet and work in a group, reflecting how they will perform when paired with a CEO. The evaluation will take into account each semi-finalist’s performance in activities like case studies, presentations, and in-person interviews.
Timing for Step 3: July/August 2019
Time Commitment: One-half day (+ travel time to Odgers Berndtson’s Sydney or Melbourne office)

Step 4: CEOx1Day
Each finalist will spend a full day shadowing a CEO and learning about their background, career path, and how they create value in their organization. Finalists will have an opportunity to spend one-on-one time with the CEO, attend meetings with their leadership team and tour the company’s headquarters and site facilities. Each CEOx1Day experience is unique to the participating organisation, which ensures an even more meaningful and memorable experience for both the student and the CEO.
