Takaaki Kaneko, Partner, Tokyo Office, brings many years of experience in executive search with a focus on financial services and senior finance-related positions, together with a strong background in international investment banking.
Before joining Odgers Berndtson, Takaaki ran his own executive search boutique for six years and prior to that, worked with Egon Zehnder International Japan for four years.
Before executive search, Takaaki was with Nomura Securities in Tokyo, and Morgan Grenfell, a British merchant bank, in both London and in Tokyo, for thirteen years in total. He specialized in the areas of corporate advisory services (mergers and acquisitions) and capital markets.
Takaaki is a native of Tokyo and holds an MSc degree from the London School of Economics and a BA degree (French Literature) from Waseda University.
