Richard Krell

Richard B. Krell is Managing Director and a member of the Financial Services Practice in the firm’s Los Angeles office.  His executive placements have included equity and fixed income portfolio managers, research analysts, traders, marketing and client service professionals, and operational executives and business unit leaders for institutional and private client asset management firms.

Previously, he was owner of a Los Angeles-based executive search boutique concentrating on the buy-side investment management industry. Prior to forming his own firm in 2001, Dick worked closely on strategy and human capital development with the founder and CEO of a small, high growth hedge fund in San Francisco. Krell began his executive search career in 1984 as a Partner with Korn Ferry, moving to Russell Reynolds in 1987 as the Managing Director responsible for the firm’s Financial Services practice in the West and manager of the Los Angeles office. He started his business career with Brown Brothers Harriman in New York.

Dick is a graduate of Wesleyan University and earned his MBA at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
