Remco Franzen is a Partner in the Netherlands office of Odgers Berndtson, handling assignments in financial services (banking, insurance, asset management), commodity trading and in the areas of (corporate) social responsibility & environmental sustainability.
Prior to joining Odgers Berndtson he was with Barclays In London as global head of commercial banking from 2006. Previously he was ING Bank’s head of branch-management in domestic commercial banking in the Netherlands. Before this he held commercial specialist positions in ING Barings project finance (natural resources) in Amsterdam and in Singapore.
His career began in the international network of ABN Amro. He subsequently worked in Sri Lanka with oversight for the branch’s operations and in Taiwan where he managed multinational accounts and the corporate finance business.
Remco is multilingual and has a MA in Law from Leiden University in the Netherlands (1987) and a MBA from INSEAD (1992).
