John Jakenfelds

John Jakenfelds is the Global Practice Leader for Life Sciences. He handles senior and non-executive positions across the whole sector, inclusive of mainstream pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and diagnostic businesses. 

He has worked in a range of life science companies, prior to which he was with management consultants Arthur D. Little. He spent time in the US with American Hospital Supply Corporation before returning to the UK to work with Squibb in pan European Marketing roles. He joined Glaxo in 1988 in International Marketing, responsible for migraine therapy Imigran and several cardiovascular products, and he was subsequently one of two Global Commercial Licensing Managers.

He founded Princeton Healthcare in 1993, advising pharma companies on pricing and launch strategies and acquiring a major share of another European life science search player. He has lectured on commercial strategies for Management Centre Europe in Brussels.

John, a British citizen, was educated at Harvard College, where he took a degree in History and Economics in 1979, and Northwestern's Kellogg School, where he took his Master's degree in Management in 1982.
