Gerard F. Cattie, Jr. is a Managing Director in the New York office. His practice focuses on senior leadership positions in prominent higher education institutions, non-profit organizations, arts and cultural entities, and international foundations and non-governmental organizations. He also serves as Practice Head for the firm’s Development & Fundraising search practice.
Prior to joining the firm, Gerard served as Regional Director of Major Gifts at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. While at Wharton, he was as part of the fundraising team that crafted the School's historic $450 million Campaign for Sustained Leadership. Earlier, he was in senior leadership roles with several prominent arts and cultural organizations, including the Pennsylvania Ballet. He began his career in publishing at Rolling Stone Magazine.
Gerard holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Annenberg School for Communication and a Master of Government Administration from its Fels Institute of Government. He is active in the University of Pennsylvania Alumni Society, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and serves as Board of Governor Emeritus of the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) in Washington, DC.
