Edna Li

Edna Li is a Partner with Odgers Berndtson where she heads the Beijing office.  She focuses on searches in the Professional Services field and in particular legal executives.

Before joining Odgers Berndtson, Edna enjoyed a successful career as a lawyer in Germany and China. Her most recent role was with Haarmann Hemmelrath & Partners in Shanghai where she focused on corporate and commercial Chinese Law. Before moving to China, she was with Bender Zahn Tigges, in Germany as an Associate Lawyer specializing in banking, real estate and litigation.

She started her career in publishing with Deutscher Anwaltverlag, a German legal publishing house.

Edna graduated from Bonn University with degrees in Chinese Studies and Law and was admitted to the bar in Dusseldorf in 1989. She later studied Law and Chinese at the Language Institute of Beijing.

A German national, Edna speaks fluent English, German and Chinese and has lived and worked in China for over 10 years.
