6 September 2010

Executives based in the Middle East have been invited to attend a forthcoming conference on the topic of corporate governance that is to take place in Bahrain.

The Bahrain Accountants Association is hosting the event at the Crown Plaza Hotel between November 1st and 3rd 2010.

Bahrain's industry and commerce minister Dr Hassan Fakhro will be in attendance at the conference, which will examine how effective corporate governance can improve organisational sustainability and growth, reports Trade Arabia.

"The conference theme is in tune with the current global situation and will positively pave the way for the identification and analysis of the issues surrounding this topic," added the news provider.

Speakers from the Middle East, Asia and Europe will pass on their tips at the event.

Last month, the National reported that Dubai is attempting to improve its corporate governance standards by cracking down on administrative loopholes and firms which have been exploiting them.
