On Monday, January 27th, the Board hosted 1,300 of the region's business leaders and city builders at its 126th Annual Dinner – sponsored by Odgers Berndtson.

This gala has become the premier annual event for the Toronto region business community, and this year was no exception. The evening celebrated leaders within the business community and focused on harnessing Canada's digital and entrepreneurial strengths to grow our economic prosperity into the future.

Our Canadian Chairman, Carl Lovas, introduced keynote speaker, Nadir Mohamed, who delivered an inspiring talk on Canada's digital future, referencing his personal story and calling for more mentorship in Canada's technology sector. The Board also honoured Sheldon Levy, President & Vice Chancellor, Ryerson University, with the Board's 2014 Toronto Region Builder Award. Levy spoke about the importance of encouraging entrepreneurship in students.
